The 30th edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is set to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 1 to 4. The event will bring together travel professionals and policymakers from across the world to explore the latest trends in sustainable tourism and discuss how the industry can work towards decarbonization.
Over 150 speakers from various sectors will participate in the four-day event. Key ministers from the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Jamaica, and Spain will join senior figures from the private sector to showcase sustainable innovations, share best practices, and explore challenges in achieving net-zero emissions.
The event is expected to draw more than 34,000 attendees from over 150 countries, with 27% more exhibitor participation than the previous year. Regional policymakers, private-sector leaders, and speakers will address critical issues throughout the four days of the event.
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, ATM, said that the significant participation in this year’s show reflects the increasing seriousness with which the tourism sector is taking sustainability, as well as rising demand for leisure and business travel across the Middle East and beyond.
The ATM 2023 will unveil a dedicated sustainability pledge to reinforce the commitment to the delivery of sustainable events and provide an operational guide for the industry to mitigate its environmental impact before, during, and after the show. A new playbook will be offered to participants to help them work towards net-zero emissions by 2030.
This year’s event will also feature the ATM Travel Tech Stage, showcasing cutting-edge innovations such as artificial intelligence, metaverse, cryptocurrency, and big data that are driving environmentally responsible tourism.
ATM 2023 will feature the brand-new Sustainability Hub, highlighting the latest sustainable travel trends and innovations. The event will also host the ATM 2023 Start-up Competition, where entrepreneurs will compete in a “Sustainable Tech Pitch Battle.” Other highlights include sessions focused on the key markets of India, China, and the GCC, as well as informal speed networking.
Overall, ATM 2023 will offer a platform for industry leaders to come together, share insights and best practices, and explore the latest innovations and solutions driving the next generation of sustainable travel.
