Sri Lanka made a strong impression at the Leisure/OTDYKH Travel & Tourism Exhibition in Moscow, showcasing its holiday opportunities to the Russian travel community. The event marked Sri Lanka’s 29th consecutive year of participation. The Sri Lankan pavilion, organized by the Tourism Promotion Bureau, received recognition for its creative design. H.E. Prof. Janiatha Liyanage, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador for Russia, inaugurated the pavilion, emphasizing the importance of the Russian market.
Sri Lanka Tourism organized B2B forums and networking sessions to highlight increased Russian arrivals and plans PR and social media campaigns to further attract Russian tourists. Various travel companies and hotels from Sri Lanka participated in the promotional events.
