A group of 15 travel agents representing FTI Touristik, a renowned European tour operator, arrived in Sri Lanka via flight UL554 from Frankfurt on Saturday (9th December) for a week-long familiarization tour. Hosted by HOT House of Travels Ltd., these high-profile agents are experiencing the country for the first time. Their itinerary covers key destinations in Sri Lanka, including Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, Bentota, and Colombo. HOT House of Travels Ltd. Chairman, Nalin Malwenna, outlined plans for the group’s final day on December 14th, which includes a networking session with hotel industry representatives to showcase their properties to FTI travel agents. Additionally, a media briefing is scheduled at 7Degrees Restaurant in Colombo 5.
Paul Hiemo, HOT Tourism’s Director of Business Development and former Regional Head at FTI, highlighted FTI’s intentions to actively promote Sri Lanka in Europe for high-end tourism. He emphasized FTI’s support for various travel preferences, including self-drive holidays, beach getaways, personalized tours, extensive journeys, packaged services, and modular offerings. The group is set to depart Sri Lanka on December 15th.
